Alphanumeric is hiring a Manufacturing Operator to work in Montreal, QC, with one of the biggest pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in the world.
The manufacturing operator is responsible for manufacturing various dosage forms and performing the various stages of the processes, such as weighing, granulation, mixing, compression, encapsulation, coating, and inspection of solid, semi-solid, or liquid dosage forms or liquid dosage forms according to their professional specialty, while complying with various criteria in different areas.
Please be aware that we can only hire people already based in Canada with fully legal and valid documentation to work in Canada.
Conditions:
- Salary: 28.96 CAD/hour + applicable shift differential (1.50 CAD/hour for evening shifts and 2.50 CAD/hour for night shifts).
- Employment: 6-month contract with high potential for renewal or becoming FTE, benefits included.
- Working Hours: Rotational shifts, including weekends and nights. Shifts will be allocated as per the team's needs.
- Day shift: 7am-3pm.
- Evening shift: 3pm-11pm.
- Night shift: 11pm-7am.
- Weekend night shift: Friday 11pm to Saturday 11am, Saturday 11pm to 11am Sunday.
- Mandatory to be available to cover all shifts including nights, as per the company's needs.
- Work Location: Saint-Laurent, Quebec.
- Mandatory to be based in Canada with valid documentation (PR or valid Work Permit + valid SIN).
Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of GMP (an asset).
- 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related field (an asset).
- Mechanical aptitude and computer skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning (different types of cleaning) of certain parts, rooms (floors, walls, sinks, etc.), containers, and work areas. Disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of production equipment according to procedures and GMPs, following established standard work methods where applicable.
- Planning of cleaning to optimize production schedules and the use of cleaning rooms.
- Checking the condition of parts and/or equipment for cleanliness and overall condition, starting up certain production equipment, and Clearing rooms or sections.
- Assessing the quality of equipment and products, evaluating the quality of equipment and products.
- Adequate documentation (manufacturing sheets, registers, cleaning labels, standard work charts, etc.) in accordance with GMP rules and verification of documentation, and printing and/or inspecting tablets or capsules in accordance with standard.
- Performing preventive maintenance (TPM), polishing of punches.
- Waste management (trash cans and/or pharmaceutical waste), storage of parts.
- Verifying raw materials, performing sanitation tasks, and performing certain reconciliations.
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of certain products and/or equipment and/or supplies.
