User Migration Support Specialist (Microsoft 365) - Contract
Location: Malvern, PA (onsite) + travel to Horsham, PA; Cranbury, NJ; Rye, NY
Schedule:
Daytime: Standard business hours
Evening role available: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM EST (remote)
Duration: 18-week contract (potential extension)
Start Date: Targeting May 1
Hourly Pay: $33 - $37
Overview
We are supporting a large-scale enterprise migration of approximately 750 users to a new Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environment. This is a wave-based migration with a strong emphasis on end-user experience, white-glove support, and hypercare.
We are seeking hands-on, customer-focused IT support professionals to assist with device setup, user migrations, and post-migration support.
What You'll Do
Migration Day Support & Hypercare (Primary Focus)
Serve as a front-line support resource during user migration waves
Assist users with device setup, login, and validation steps
Provide in-person, remote, and ticket-based support
Troubleshoot issues related to Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and authentication
Deliver a high-quality 'white glove' user experience
Device Deployment & Setup
Perform Windows 11 imaging, provisioning, and configuration
Support deployment tools such as Autopilot, SCCM, or equivalent
Distribute and collect devices during migration events
Remote/Field User Migrations (Fridays)
Guide remote users through migration via scheduled 15-minute sessions
Initiate migrations, validate completion, and follow up
Track device returns and ensure user readiness
Evening Migration Execution (1 Role)
Execute migration scripts and checklists during off-hours
Perform validation, remediation, and documentation
Support overnight migrations (e.g., SharePoint, Teams data)
Escalate issues as needed
Additional Responsibilities
Support shared asset reviews (mailboxes, SharePoint sites, file shares)
Collaborate with migration teams and service desk
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Windows 11 deployment and device setup
Familiarity with Autopilot, SCCM, or similar tools
Experience supporting the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
Understanding of identity & access concepts (accounts, MFA, authentication)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience with onsite and remote end-user support
Basic networking knowledge
Nice to Have:
Experience with Okta or similar identity platforms
Previous experience supporting large-scale migrations or rollouts
